If hair styling is your passion and you’ve got what it takes to woo the nation with your talent, then Streax Professional Times India Hair Style Icon is the best opportunity for you.

India’s leading professional hair colour and care brand, Streax Professional, teams up with India’s biggest news platform, The Times Group; to bring to you India’s first distinctive hair dressing award for professional hair stylists. It doesn’t matter which corner of India you come from, all that matters is that your talent blows our minds.

#IHI is a hair competition that brings hairdressers from across the country on one platform. The competition is designed to assess your talents basis the tasks assigned. From the online entries, 200 Semi-finalists will compete in the zonal rounds till we find the top 12 finalists for the hairdressing industry awards.

As the hairstylist award proceeds, these finalists will then be groomed in Mumbai and compete against each other to showcase at Bombay Times Fashion Week. Finally revealing, India’s first Hair Style Icon – one master of Cut, Colour & Style, all through a neutral judging process

Spread your creative wings as you get to create a fashionable yet easily wear-able, commercially adapted Cut, Colour, and Styling. What’s better? You can create this look in any hair length and texture of choice! Create a look that showcases your skills in various techniques like ombré, balayage, hair painting etc. Just ensure that the colour harmonizes well and enhances the haircut.

Rules
  • Competition Time Period: 3 hours.
  • Look must be done on Live female
  • Hair extensions are not allowed.
  • All cutting and styling tools and products are allowed.
  • Harmonious colors + the transition shades allowed.
  • Spray colors are prohibited.
  • Props of any kind including sunglasses are prohibited.
  • Ornaments of any kind on the hair or face are prohibited.
  • Images should be clicked and uploaded as per rules mentioned in the upload form.

Note: This is a hairdressing industry award. The Jury will judge the general impression of the color and styling. The judges must be able to see the complete hair colour, including the top. A complete, well styled look and well captured image will be a plus point. For reasons of impartiality, name of contestant, salon details and city will not be visible to the judges.

Style up a fashionable and creative colour laden look for females on either a longer, medium or shorter length; choose the color that adds depth and dimension to the hair and is creative and demonstrates your artistic skills.  The colour must harmonize beautifully, including a well-designed styling that showcases your talent in the best possible way. Even better, it can be done in your own choice of texture.

  • Competition Time Period: 3 hours.
  • Look must be done on Live female

  • The competitor is required to perform only color & styling on the competition floor. Cut can be pre-done.

Q2. How many entries are allowed per participant?

Only one entry allowed per participant. Participant should choose the category & look he/she can portray her talent in the best way, for participation.

Q3. Is the trip to OMC Hair World, Paris fully sponsored?

Flight tickets for 1 person with 3 days 2 nights’ stay will be sponsored. Travel insurance, internal transport, food & beverage cost to be borne by traveler. For more information, please visit the section “What the winners get”

Q4. What are the benefits/outcome of the contract with Streax Professional?
